Hi Friends! My poor cross body zipper bag is literally wearing out. I've been using it exclusively for over a year and it's time to replace it. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to make the same bag again, or if I going to go with another bag style. To help me decide I decided to look through all my bag patterns and see if there is something I want to sew or if it's time to create a new bag pattern. {haha} Here's the cross body bag I'm currently using... When it was first made.. and today.. poor thing! You can find this awesome bag pattern here. I also have this simple cross body bag.. It's still hanging by my door and I have used it for a few occasions, but it's a bit small for everyday use. This is a free sewing Pattern you can find here. I sewed this nylon webbing tote this summer, and I love it, but again, I don't think its the bag I will carry for everyday use. You can find the tutorial for this webbing tote here. For several fall/winters I carried this wool sack bag. I love how cozy it is, and the size is good. I've been trying to downsize a bit so I'm not sure if I want to go back to carrying a larger bag again. This one is so fun made from wool and you can find this wool sack bag free pattern here. If I were looking for a larger/travel bag I would make another convertible bag/backpack. I actually sewed a new one this spring, and have used this for travel already a few times this year. I love that it can change from a shoulder bag to a backpack. Download the free pattern here... You can also buy a video tutorial if you need more help. Here's my final option that I'm considering... This cute bag can be worn on your hip or cross body. I really do love the shape of this one and may just need to sew it in a solid color to really love it. I'm going to take a good look at this one to sew next. Grab the free sewing pattern here.
