Hey friends, I read somewhere that you hear crickets when you do a podcast for a year. You may get some interesting guests, and if you are lucky, get some advertisers. But it is still a non-sustainable activity. But if you do it for 3 years, that is where the magic happens. I have been doing mine for about 3 years (Here's the podcast page) and it seems like "magic" is happening as I'm invited to host a brand new podcast. This is a CNA production and I will be helming a pod that is related to work and careers.
Despite having published close to 100 of my own episodes, I was nervous af. The cold and intimidating studio did not help. The producer who was seated across me could tell too. I hope that does not mark the start AND the end of my podcast career with CNA. 😭 Regardless, if you have any suggestions, feedback and ideas on what we should cover, please let me know.
Have a great week ahead!

To make things work, simply do more of it. But to tell what (LinkedIn Posts) work for you is not easy as native analytics is very basic. An easier way is to use Shield to visualise those data. I can easily see my best-performing posts. With that, identify their common denominators and double down in that direction. Learn how to grow your LinkedIn followings here.

Will you reject a quarter million package and take a leap of faith to become an insurance agent? That is what Jaslyn Ng did 5 years ago. In this heartfelt episode, she shares the backstory on the rejection and why she decided to go into insurance (a decision she made in less than a week).

📱Software/App Recommendations
There are many podcast apps in the market but I always gravitate back to Overcast. It is simpler to use, gives you the ability to create your own Smart Playlist and I love the Smart Speed feature that shortens silences so you get to go through your favourite episode slightly faster. |
