Hey friends, I saw this post on a Facebook group and shared it on my LinkedIn.
The likes and comments came in faster than the cars in Fast and Furious. Interestingly (and I did not share this online), I did the same thing back in 2013. It was one of my salespeople who has become harder and harder to manage with his prima donna personality. As someone who cannot stand confrontations, I decided to float his CVs to other companies that might need someone like him. It didn't work though as he stayed on. The commonality between the two stories is apparent. One party could not stand the other and hence attempt to rid of him/her. Lincoln once said, "I don't like that person. Let me try to get to know him better" Since then I've learned an open conversation could resolve most problems. I probably wouldn't have pulled such a trick if only I attempted to speak with him with an open heart. Of course all these hinges on the acceptance of the other party. And should the talks not work out, you know what to do. 😂☝️
Have a great week ahead!

Identifying your audience on LinkedIn is important since it is pointless to have 1million followers but only 10 true fans. The latter are the ones who will support your cause and pay for your offerings. Unless you are starting in something so niche that no one else is already doing, simply identify competition in your geography. Go through their posts and look at who interacted with their posts. Reach out to those folks to let them know there is another resource (you) who is on this topic of their interest and ask them to follow you.
📺Channel 8: 2021 Singapore Wage Report
Over the past week, MOM released the 2021 Wage Report showing that citizens and residents saw their wages rise by 3.9% last year, returning to pre-pandemic levels in 2019. What caused this and will this sustain? I share more in this Mandarin TV interview.
📱Software/App Recommendations
An oldie but goodie. This is the site I turn to when it comes to performance review season or when I'm just stumped to write an obligatory LinkedIn testimonial. As Jodi Picoult famously said, "You can always edit a bad page. You can't edit a blank page." The output gives me a quick copy to do even faster edits. |
