This Shapegram is a bit off—on purpose. Introducing the Glitchy Pattern Zipper! This digital art challenge features a black and white design layered with a glitch effect. The bold pops of red, blue, and yellow on either side create visual vibration, making the image look like it’s wiggling right off the screen. After recreating this eye-bending pattern, your students might just be inspired to glitch out other designs too.

The Glitchy Pattern Shapegram features step-by-step instructions on the left and a comic on the right. In the middle, students are invited to recreate the eye-bending masterpiece.
It's part art, part puzzle, and 100% mesmerizing! Earth DayEarth Day is April 22nd. Students can celebrate by learning to draw the planet in the Globe Lesson. The tutorial video walks them through tracing a picture using the Curve tool. It’s a bit tricky—that’s why it’s rated at the Outstanding Orange skill level. I used the Earth I drew in the Globe Shapegram to create a poster, and you're welcome to download and print it: Earth Without Art is Just "Eh." The design is also available on a t-shirt from Amazon. And that’s not all—I’ve had window clings made featuring the Earth Without Art design. They’re perfect for glass and other smooth surfaces. I’ll mail a cling for free to the first 12 readers who submit their address using this form. To keep postage manageable, I’m only shipping to the U.S. and Canada.
Addressing Your Account's Email AddressMost teachers sign up for Shapegrams with their school email address. That email is used to reset your password and to notify you when your membership is about to renew. If you're changing school districts or retiring, it's a good idea to update your Shapegrams account to a personal email address—one you know you'll always have access to. That way, you won't miss important messages about your account. Don’t worry—changing your account’s email won’t affect your access to the Shapegram files. You can still copy them into your school account as usual.
