RV LIFESTYLE NEWS OF THE WEEK

T-mobile and Starlink have teamed up to eliminate dead zones in the US. There are now 300 direct to cell satellites up and registration is open for a beta program that may be of particular interest to RVers.

Campground owners who subscribe to the searchable database "DeadbeatCampers.com" will now be able to check whether a perspective customer is on a sex offender database. The relatively new database already permits campground owners to report and search a database of RVers who left without paying, damaged property or failed to follow park rules.

The US Supreme Court declined last week to take up an appeal from conservative states challenging California’s ability to establish strict vehicle emission rules that effectively set the standard for the rest of the nation, according to CNN. RV manufacturers were carefully watching as the sweeping California rules will hit the RV industry hard.

Winnebago Industries saw its sales drop by 18% from a year ago in what its CEO is describing as a challenging environment. While the drop was more than analysts anticipated, Winnebago is predicting sales will bounce back by the second half of its current fiscal year.

Utah state park rangers are blaming a gender-reveal party cannon for leaving a blue hue on what would otherwise be red rocks at Snow Canyon State Park. Rangers had to hike nearly 3 miles with two gallons of water and spend hours cleaning the mess. Such gender reveal tactics are not permitted in state parks.
