Getting Started with Google VidsSee My Quick Vids Tutorial - Start by going to vids.google.com or GO TO GOOGLE DRIVE and use the new button. Vids is kinda similar to Google Slides except you're making a video. Vids save to Google Drive so you can create them in Google Drive and find them in Google Drive.
- Choose a template, tip, do NOT insert all the scenes, it is too much. Choose one to start with and then on the right side is a templates icon so you can add more scenes.
- On the right side is a toolbar and the BOTTOM ICON is your transcripts icon. YOU WANT TO USE THIS! Set up what you want to say on each scene.
- Insert a recording (I like to use the Insert menu and choose "video placeholder")
- Click the record icon, a round circle, and you can choose to record your face, your screen, both, or just audio.
- Your transcript shows up as a teleprompter!
TIP: Use the SPACEBAR to start and stop the teleprompter. - This is a Google Drive tool so you share it the same way you do Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Use the Share button to set sharing permissions. Copy the link.
You can add to Google Classroom right from Drive! Just like you can Google Slides. So this should be really familiar. Make a video and it is autosaved to your Drive. Then add to a Google Classroom assignment. You can also add as each student gets a copy so they can record their assignment as a video.
